2012 Winter Duathlon Series - Race 2 Results

A clear, cool and breezy morning greeted another small field of enthusiastic athletes. A new course this year took the athletes on a two lap run from Portobello on the gravel road out towards the aquarium and back. This was followed by an out-and-back loop on the bike to Harrington Point with a nice tail wind out, only to turn into a sapping head wind from the turn around. Finishing with one more lap of the run course.

Paul Gough took line honours, and Open Males, after a stong bike leg took him away from the competition. Anthony Rowcraft took second overall and Maters men, with Anthony Willmott third overall. Tess Molloy took out Open Women, Bronwyn Shute Masters Women and Olivia Moon Junior Women, while Steve and Kate took out the Teams event.

Welcome to Kylie Batten who has just joined the club and performed well at her first event. It's great to have you in the club. We all look forward to seeing you at the next event and out training.

Congratulations to all athletes. See you all next month at Karitane on August 12th.
