Swim:
The swim is one 400m triangle lap. Wetsuits are not compulsory but are highly recommended. A swim cap is compulsory (bright colour recommended)
T1:
Swimmers will tag their cyclist at the cones at the transition between the beach and the carpark. Cyclists will then run to their bike and run their bike to the mount line. T1 will be on the harbour side of the road so no road crossing is required. Only cyclist team members are allowed in the T1 area.
Bike:
The bike is one lap with the turnaround point 10Km from MacBay (just before Weir Road, past Portobello). All roads are poen and normal road rules apply. Crossing the centre line will result in disqualification. This is a non-drafting event.
T2:
Cyclists must dismount prior to the marked dismount line. They then run their bike to the transition where they tag their runner. There will be no racks in T2 so cyclists must remove their bikes to place where they do not obstruct any athletes.
Run:
The runner is tagged in the MacAndrew Bay Reserve and will proceed to the pedestrian crossing, which is controlled by Stop/Go. They may only cross the road at this point. It is a 2 lap run. Runners run North East on the footpath for 1.25Km alongside Portobello Road, they then turn and return to MacAndrew Bay where they turn (on the harbour side) and complete a second lap. At the completion of the second lap, they cross at the marked controlled crossing and finish up the finishers chute.
BBQ
There will be a BBQ at the finishline.
Prizegiving
Prizegiving will commence at the conclusion of the race. There are prizes for the top teamj in each category and Spot Prizes.
