We all know the benefits of training with others. It’s a great way to meet like minded people, can help push you along, and certainly helps with motivation when you’re not quite feeling the power!
Below are some options for club members or anyone wishing to meet up for some regular training. Note, we have limited resources as a club and do not provide any regular coaching at this time. A number of experienced athletes will attend these sessions regularly however and are happy to share their wisdom.
We also recommend checking the club’s Facebook page regularly to see if any members are looking to hook up for training sessions. Alternatively, if you have a regular and consistent training group together already and you’d like to invite others along, feel free to post the details on our Facebook page or get in contact with the club at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the club takes no responsibility for the quality or safety of any of the external group training options listed on this page and individuals are encouraged to make their own enquiries. Individuals take full responsibility for their own safety when participating in club training sessions.

Tri Club Sunday Morning Group Ride
Meet at the Hill City-University Athletics club rooms, Logan Park, departing at 9.00am every Sunday morning for an approximate 2 hour ride. We may split into bunches according to numbers and speeds and some might choose to ride shorter or longer. A group run off the bike may be an option (likely to be seasonal). Note there are unlikely to be many present if the day coincides with a Club triathlon or duathlon event (or other major regional event such as the Wanaka Challenge).
Cycle World GOLF Ride (daylight savings only)
Cycle World hosts a GOLF ride (Girls Only Lads Forbidden) which leaves Cycle World at 5:30pm. The ride goes for 1 1/2 - 2 hours and alternates route depending on weather. It is a no drop ride. This year it was held on a Tuesday night due to Monday night racing. Keep an eye on the Cycle World website closer to the time for more details.
